Buying gifts, what a headache!
How often have you heard the disheartening response, "There's nothing I really need". A well intentioned request to a parent or senior relative on the subject of a Christmas or birthday gift often gets this sort of reply. While children love Christmas and the anticipation of receiving presents is everything, for seniors it is often entirely the opposite.
Many older relatives will readily tell you they have everything they need and there's nothing they want. The usual dilemma rears its ugly head, what can you get for a gift then? Maybe you feel you will have to fall back on the old favourites of bath time treats, a pointless ornament, chocolates or heaven forbid socks and hankies.
Don't despair there is one gift that is not only welcome but is a very practical solution to seniors gift problem for the times when they really need to keep snug and warm. That solution is the Slanket blanket.
This fun fleece wrap has the clever advantage of having sleeves built in. While a normal blanket will keep the user warm, the moment they need to reach for a drink, TV remote or anything requiring hands etc the benefit of warmth on the upper body is lost. With the Slanket that just doesn't happen because the user maintains full coverage of the upper body by slipping their arms into the sleeves. This leaves the arms and hands completely free. Imagine wearing your dressing gown on backwards and you will get the idea!
And the Slanket isn't only for the elderly, any age from children upwards will love this blanket. It is completely practical for those times you want laze on the couch watching TV, readings and especially when feeling ill and needing to keep snug and warm.
